With the wind forecasted to kick in after sunset I wasn't expecting to sail today. However around 2pm some 20mph+ gusts were being reported by the weather stations so I decided to go for a quick one before dark at KA.

It was solidly windy and cross-shore when I arrived - looked good. However this was the prelude to a big squall, following which the wind died to almost nothing. It soon came back though, just about perfect for the 5.8. Had a decent sail, solidly planing for pretty much all of it with a few good bum wiggles at the ankle snappers that were rolling in. Always satisfying to score an unexpected session.
